FAQ

You Ask - I Answer

Where will we meet?

My office locations are: Wynnewood, PA; Second location at 967 Swedesford Rd #100, Exton, PA 19341. Due to COVID-19 safety guidelines, we can also meet virtually, connecting through a secure platform (HIPAA compliant) using a simple link you can open on your device.

How long will I need to be in treatment?

It depends on the issues that brought you to seek treatment. Some of my clients come for just a few months for support through a difficult time, to focus on a specific concern. Others benefit from longer term therapy. They may have long standing issues, on-going stressors or changes in their lives. These issues often require a longer period of support. You and I will evaluate your progress. I want you to reach your goals with the ability and tools to maintain them.

How long are our sessions?

Each session will be 50 minutes long. In specific situations the therapeutic process can benefit from having longer session, such as an EMDR processing session. We can discuss and schedule that when needed.

Is everything truly confidential?

Above all, you must be able to trust your therapist. We follow best practices to ensure that your personal information stays private. I never* share information about you without your written permission.

*As mandated reporter, all therapists are legally required to contact the appropriate emergency services if we have reason to believe that a client potentially presents a danger to themselves or others, or if a minor or an elder is being harmed.

Do you accept my insurance?

At the moment I do not accept insurance. I am able to provide a receipt for you to submit for out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance provider.

What does the first session look like?

During your initial session, I will ask about your detailed mental health history, medical, relationship issues, including what has brought you to therapy and your goals for it. This will allow me to suggest a treatment plan that is specific for you.  Before the first session you will also fill out and bring in an intake form which you can download below.
